Welcome to the 2013/14 school year! This is our classroom blog! I use this blog to share what we are working on in the classroom with you! I will share the various projects we are working on and post some of our projects online throughout the year. Please check back for further details!
We are starting off this year working with patterns! Patterns are everywhere! We need to be able to recognize patterns in a variety of settings. We will be looking for patterns in math and reading quite a bit this year! The children are taking turns creating patterns on the iPad using an app called Doodle Buddy!
This is a really neat app that allows the children to use a variety of different tools to create some really cool pictures and projects.
We also used a variety of manipulatives to create patterns. Here are a few of patterns created!
Today we made our first visit to the computer lab and I introduced the class to our blog. They know how to find the WIKI page. This is the page made especially for them! It has quick links to websites that they will find useful and fun this year! Take a look! You can find the WIKI at the top of the blog! It is called Mrs Anton’s WIKI page. Have fun!
